Data collected from the current year does not show that the day prior to each of the three high impact news events has any significant negative impact on the average range or chance for an expansion day. This is a trend that has held consistently over the past three years. Due to these numbers, these days do not have to be avoided for the economic calendar protocol. The only factor to consider is if the bias on the day prior is poor or unfavorable, it is a small sacrifice to wait for the high impact news release the following day in search for added narrative.
